Youth & 4-H 4-H is a fun and educational program for children ages 5-18. The 4-H program is sponsored by North Carolina Cooperative Extension and is dedicated to helping boys and girls develop life skills needed to be contributing members of their communities. Children of all racial, cultural, economic, and social backgrounds are welcome to participate in 4-H educational programs. 4-H offers clubs, special interest programs, summer camps, school enrichment and after-school child care. Guided by North Carolina Cooperative Extension educators and adult and teen volunteers, 4-H'ers gain knowledge, skills and experience that help them become responsible citizens and leaders.
