Alleghany Farmers Market

Alleghany Farmers Market logo

The Alleghany Farmers Market will open for the 2021 market season on Saturday, May 1, 2021. Conveniently located at Crouse Park in downtown Sparta, NC, the market will be open every Saturday through the end of October, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. We will offer a wide variety of locally-grown, seasonal produce; meat, eggs and dairy items; bath and body products; baked goods; and artisan-produced crafts and handmade items.

The online platform (in addition to the in-person market) will reopen mid May once early-season produce becomes more available. The online ordering platform offers easy-to-navigate purchasing, with drive-through Saturday pickup, featuring a wide array of additional vendors. Please check out the Alleghany Farmers Market Facebook page for updated information, or add your name to the customer list (see contact info below). In addition to our weekly market vendors, there are some items available for purchase from the market store, such as local milk, goat cheese and seasonal produce, open every Saturday during regular market hours.

If you are interested in becoming a market vendor or would like to be added to the customer list, please contact Jill Cockerham at jccocker@ncsu.edu.
